Professional coaching available at the Club

Farnborough Tennis Club now have access to a part-time professional coach, and he has offered to run both group coaching and 1to1 sessions for us.

His name is Josh Brown and he is a fully qualified Level 4 LTA coach. If you would like to experience the benefits of good coaching, you can contact Josh direct to arrange either a 1to1 or small group session, or you may want to join in one of our larger group coaching sessions. Look out for the latest updates on the Club WhatsApp group or the News page of the website.

Coaching for Summer 2026

The first programme of group sessions took place in May and the feedback was very positive indeed. Everyone who took part thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and were impressed by Josh’s knowledge, his clear directions in the sessions, and his practical hints and tips on doubles strategy and court positioning.

We plan to schedule further group sessions for members during the summer season, so if you are interested in joining in the sessions, please let Jan know and she will add you to the coaching WhatsApp group.

Some members may prefer to organise their own 1to1 or small group sessions, perhaps with other players of a similar standard. It would be helpful if you could let Josh know in advance what your needs are, and whether a session is for Juniors or Seniors, Beginners or Improvers. Please also indicate a range of convenient times for you, as Josh does have other commitments outside the Club and occasionally has to travel to tournaments overseas.

Fees are negotiable and should be arranged with - and paid direct to - Josh.
