Members Guide

Information for Members

Members may reserve courts using the online booking system or simply turn up and play. Booked courts take priority. Members may not book courts during Club Play sessions.

Note that, as per Club Rules, if all courts are occupied and members are waiting, a match shall consist of one normal tie-break set and, on completion of the set, players shall vacate the court to allow other members to play. Players may then await the next free court to play again.

Booked courts are for a set time period and will always take priority - these courts should be vacated on completion of the time period booked.

Remember to lock the court padlock securely on the gate latch when you have finished playing, to prevent unauthorised access and potential vandalism. If anyone else is playing when you leave, please check that they have a key to lock-up.

Club Play

All Senior members are welcome at Club Play sessions, provided they play to a reasonable standard. Due to todays’ more stringent safe-guarding rules, Junior members are unable to play at club sessions. Session times are as follows:

  • Monday Afternoons 1:30 - 4:30pm (All year round)
  • Wednesday Afternoons 1:30 - 4:30pm (October to March)
  • Wednesday Evenings 6:00 - 9:00pm (April to September)
  • Saturday Mornings 9:00 - 1:00pm (All year round)

(Wednesday sessions change gradually with the light in Mar/Apr & Sep/Oct)

Please see the Club Play Guide attached to the News page of the website for more information.

Guests and Coaching

Members may bring a Guest to play at the courts. There is a small fee payable to the club for Senior guest players and it is the responsibility of the member to pay this fee by bank transfer to the club account. Members are responsible for their guests welfare, including compliance with Club Rules & Regulations, Health & Safety Policy and Covid19 Guidelines.

For a small fee, members may employ a third party coach for coaching lessons at the courts, subject to evidence of the appropriate insurance and DBS checks being provided to the Chairman or Membership Secretary.

For information on the Club coaching arrangements, please refer to the Coaching page on the website.
